“Canal view” gets used loosely in Amsterdam — almost every block has water nearby — so this archive sets a higher bar. The venues listed here genuinely look out onto a gracht: window tables on Prinsengracht and Herengracht, terraces over Brouwersgracht, hotel rooms facing the Singel, restaurants where a passing rondvaartboot is part of the dinner. A few sit on the IJ instead of a 17th-century canal, which counts too — the water still defines the room.
