Radisson says its rooms have kitchenettes. Its long-stay serviced apartments go further, with a full kitchen that includes an oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher, plus a desk and coffee machine. At least one booking site describes “most” rather than all units as having a full kitchen, so check the equipment listed for your exact room if you plan to cook.

Dining at Keuken & Bar

The on-site restaurant, Keuken & Bar, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a menu of international dishes and Dutch specialties, and a bar for a drink in the evening. Lunch and dinner run daily from 12:00 to 23:00, and the kitchen takes its last food orders at 22:00.

Breakfast is a buffet. Travelocity lists it at EUR 22.50 per person, served 07:00–10:00 on weekdays and 07:00–11:00 at weekends, so check whether your rate includes it. The hotel also has a Grab & Go market for snacks and self-catering basics.

The hotel is also within easy reach of the Zuidas, Amsterdam’s financial district, and Radisson lists RAI Amsterdam at 2.3 km.

Parking and Arriving by Car

Parking is paid, in a secure underground garage. Travelocity and Hotels.com list covered self-parking at EUR 17.50 per night, with electric-vehicle charging and a height restriction, so check clearance before arriving in a van or with a roof box. Radisson estimates the drive from Amsterdam Zuid at about eight minutes. For days in the city center, leaving the car at the hotel and taking public transport is usually easier than parking in central Amsterdam.

Getting to Radisson Hotel & Suites Amsterdam South

From Schiphol Airport

Take the train from Schiphol to Amsterdam Zuid, then continue by tram or bus. Radisson’s own directions use the Kronenburg stop, about 23 minutes from Amsterdam Zuid by bus or tram, followed by a 15-minute walk. According to Moovit, the nearest tram stop is Amstelveen Uilenstede on tram 25 toward Uithoorn Centrum, about 888 meters or 12 minutes on foot. Bus 62 stops at Backershagen, about nine minutes’ walk away. Radisson puts a taxi from Schiphol at around EUR 55.

From Amsterdam Zuid

Use the same tram or bus connections. If you have luggage or arrive late, a taxi takes about eight minutes, and Radisson estimates the fare at around EUR 30.

This hotel suits travelers staying a week or longer who want to cook, people on business trips to the Zuidas or RAI, drivers who need secure parking, and guests with pets. It is also good for anyone who would rather spend their mornings in the Amsterdamse Bos than in crowded city streets.

It is a weaker choice for a short first visit where you want to step out of the door onto the canal ring, or for late nights in the center. Every trip into the city involves a walk plus a tram or bus, and after the last trams you will need a taxi back.
