Accommodation

Where you stay shapes how Amsterdam works for you. A canal-house hotel inside the Grachtengordel puts the Anne Frank House at one end and the Nine Streets at the other within a five-minute walk. A boutique stay in the Jordaan sets a slower pace among the hofjes and brown cafés. The newer hotels in Oost and Noord trade central location for room size, water views, and a more residential atmosphere. This curated list collects the Amsterdam Local Gems accommodation picks across the city, from 17th-century canal-house conversions like Mr Jordaan Hotel and Hotel Pulitzer to design-led modern hotels like Hotel Arena in Oosterpark. Each listing notes the room style, neighbourhood character, and the kind of traveller the property is built for.
