Opening hours and the best night to go

Club Prime opens at 20:00 every day of the week. It closes at 03:00 from Sunday through Thursday and stays open until 05:00 on Friday and Saturday. Being open seven nights is unusual in Amsterdam and is a large part of the venue’s appeal for visitors whose trip does not line up with a weekend.

• By bike: Rembrandtplein has bike racks, but they fill on weekend nights and the square is heavily patrolled for illegally parked bikes. Cycling under the influence is an offence in the Netherlands and is enforced.
• Night transport: GVB night buses run when trams and metros stop, and Rembrandtplein is served by several night lines — worth checking if you stay until 05:00.

Taxis and ride-hailing cannot always stop directly on the square during busy hours. Asking to be set down on Amstelstraat or Reguliersbreestraat is usually faster than waiting for a gap on Rembrandtplein itself.
