The Brouwersgracht is one of Amsterdam’s most photographed canals, lining the northern edge of the Jordaan with converted warehouses, houseboats and arched bridges.
The Brouwersgracht (“Brewers’ Canal”) runs along the top of the Jordaan, connecting the western end of the main canal ring to the Singel. Once home to breweries and warehouses, its handsome 17th-century storehouses are now sought-after homes, and the canal is regularly voted one of the prettiest streets in Amsterdam.
The Brouwersgracht sits just north of the Jordaan, a short walk from Amsterdam Centraal and the canal ring around Dam Square. It’s an easy detour on any canal walk.
