The practical case for eating here is location. Oosterpark is a short walk away, the Tropenmuseum sits on its eastern edge, and Beukenplein’s cafés are a few minutes north. A kapsalon before or after a walk in the park is a genuinely local way to spend an hour in Oost, and it costs a fraction of a sit-down dinner in the center.
