Nine streets in Amsterdam’s Canal Belt
De 9 Straatjes is a district of three groups of three shopping streets crossing Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht, and Prinsengracht. Its business association describes more than 250 shops, places to eat, hotels, and museums in this part of Amsterdam’s Canal Belt.
Access and shop hours
The streets themselves are public streets and are not a single 24-hour venue. The district’s official guide says most shops open around 10:00 or 11:00 and close around 18:00 or 19:00, with Sunday opening generally from 12:00. Restaurants, museums, hotels, and individual shops set their own schedules, so check the specific business before travelling.
