Conscious Café is a small, bright-pink grab-and-go café and eco gift shop in the lobby of Conscious Hotel Westerpark, at Haarlemmerweg 10 on the edge of Amsterdam’s Westerpark. Come here for coffee, organic snacks and drinks to take into the park, or for a locally made, sustainable souvenir. You don’t need to be a hotel guest.
What Conscious Café is (and isn’t)
The café opened with Conscious Hotel Westerpark, an all-electric eco-hotel in the listed building that once housed the Westergasfabriek offices. It is also the hotel’s lobby, so the space works as a reception, a coffee counter and a shop at once. The owners describe it as a “grab & go.” It’s meant for a quick coffee or a snack to carry out, not a long sit-down meal.
Don’t confuse it with the other Conscious locations in the city. The Conscious hotel on Overtoom, near the Vondelpark, is a separate property with its own bar. If you want a full breakfast, dinner or drinks in the same building, go to Stadscafé next door (see below).

Cars can’t drive into the park itself. Taxis drop off about 100 meters from the hotel entrance, and you walk the rest on a straight, lit path.

In mid-2026, Stadscafé opened in the space Bar Kantoor used to occupy, in the same building. It is a café, bar and restaurant open from 07:00 every day, closing at 01:00 on weekdays and 02:00 on weekends. Right outside is Cultuurpark Westergas, the cultural park that hosts markets, festivals and events, with the quieter green Westerpark on the other side.
