Walking Tours

A walking tour is one of the most effective ways to read Amsterdam quickly — the canal-ring layout makes spatial sense when someone explains the Golden Age planning, and a guided route through the Jordaan can open hofjes (almshouse courtyards) and side streets you wouldn’t find on a map. This archive collects the venues and operators running structured walking tours: themed routes (Resistance and Jewish heritage in Plantage, Anne Frank’s neighbourhood, Rembrandt and the Golden Age, street art in NDSM and the Jordaan), food and brown-café walks in De Pijp, and architectural walks of the canal ring. Each listing notes typical duration, language options, group size, and how far in advance to book.
