Parking

Parking in central Amsterdam is expensive and scarce by design — the canal-ring streets weren’t built for cars, and the city has actively reduced parking spaces over the past decade as part of its low-emission strategy. Most visitors are better off using one of the P+R (Park and Ride) sites at the edge of the city (Olympisch Stadion, Sloterdijk, Noord, Zeeburg) and finishing the journey by tram or metro. This archive flags Amsterdam Local Gems venues with their own parking or with a reliable nearby public car park. Each listing notes whether the parking is private (hotel guests only) or open to all visitors, and the realistic walk from the nearest public garage.
